PIR sensitivity and detection angle are adjustable on most security lights. We set these during installation to minimise false activations. The detection range can be narrowed to focus on specific areas, and the sensitivity reduced to ignore smaller movement such as animals. Most quality LED floodlights also have a minimum activation timer to prevent rapid cycling.
